Kindle is cool, but you can we make it better?
This small guid to jailbreak it in order to create your own small program using java and sdk which i will speak about on future post.
Jailbreak
- copy files
- restart
- select restart
- restart
- Install Network Over Usb ( not working on Machintoch)
- Register you kindle account
- Install mmk Mobileread Kindlet Kit
- Install KALU
be sure to configure it properly
DEFAULT WILL BE:
HOST_IP=192.168.15.201
KINDLE_IP=192.168.15.244
putty.exe ssh to 192.168.2.244:22
user: root
pass: password
[root@kindle /]# uname -a
Linux kindle 2.6.31-rt11-lab126 #5 Sat Jan 12 20:39:09 PST 2013 armv7l unknown
